HTC Inspire 4G Became a Phone With Upgraded Features

What is the HTC Inspire 4G going to be like when it gets the Android Gingerbread update? Currently the Android Froyo 2.2 operating system of the HTC Inspire ™ 4G is updated to the Gingerbread 2.3.3 OS.

The update is available only for AT&T customers and requires no technical knowledge to install. Once installed you are going to see a new HTC Sense interface with updated and quicker Application Trays.

The update to the FriendStream feature will allow you to interact even more on most of the social networking sites that are popular today.

Another feature that is upgraded is that Quick Settings are added to the Notifications Window. This allows you to change settings quickly instead of going internally to do so. Battery life with the HTC Inspire ™ 4G (only 6 hours talk time) is something that everyone is concerned about and with the Gingerbread 2.3.3 OS you are going to see better battery life because of the power management feature that has been added.

Along with the updated features there are a couple of bugs and internal updates that occur in the background with this update. The HTC Sense seems more efficient and the overall media experience is noticeably better. The updated of the HTC Inspire ™ 4G phone came at the end of August 2011.

HTC Inspire 4G has arrived in AT&T stores on February 13, 2011

AT&T customers can buy the HTC Inspiretm 4G smartphone since February 13 for less than $100 with a two-year agreement. The phone is based on the Android 2.2 platform with the build-in Adobe Flash player. So you can customize the phone with the needed Android applications easily.

The HTC Inspire 4G has 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen with the 480×800 resolution and 8 megapixel camera (720p HD recording of video). It will be easy to take good photos as the camera has autofocus, dual LED flash, and detection of face. The smartphone is equipped with 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 4GB memory and 8GB microSD card to store the media information to stay in touch with.

If you don’t know the location of your lost phone, you can use the smart feature of the HTC Inspire 4G – HTC Sence, which delivers to the users the service to point the location on a map and send a command through the HTCsence.com site to make the device make a sound. You can even wipe the necessary data on it, forward calls or messages to another number or lock the phone if it is left somewhere. Moreover, if someone has stolen your device with the activated GPS, you can certainly track where it is at the moment. It is quite useful feature to make you more secure.

The HTC Inspire 4G has some other improved features which concern the sort or filter the email, touchscreen keyboard, accessible contacts management with the improved photo face tagging for different social networks as Friend Stream, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, or YouTube, and some enhanced features for web browsing (back button for search history, read RSS and news or get Adobe Flash support).

The HTC Inspire 4G is quite slim and light (5.78 ounce). It has a good battery life of 1230 mAh to talk up to 6 hours or up to 15.5 days of stanby.

To mention some plans of AT&T, it delivers 4G with HSPA+, but plans to enhance more accelerated LTE technology since mid 2011 and to complete building LTE network by the end of 2013. Thus, the HTC Inspire 4G, which is delivered with HSPA+, can somehow lose its speed positions in the future, but the today’s price is, of course, reasonable for such a 4G device.
